Claudia Rose has a new client, Paige Sorensen. Her elderly husband, Torg Sorensen, has died and left everything, including Sorensen Academy, to Paige. Since the stepchildren are older than their stepmother and hate her -- a protest is definitely in the works. Paige has a way of drawing people to her and Claudia, against her own rules, offers to help with a troubled student. It doesn't take long before Claudia remembers that she had the rule about not getting involved for a very, very, good reason. Now, she needs to find out what's going on before she gets killed.

From official release/information:

From back of book: Claudia Rose's latest client is a dime-a-dozen type. The widow of a rich older man, Paige Sorensen is younger than--and hated by--her stepchildren. And they're dead set on proving that Paige forged their father's signature on his will, which left his entire estate, including the Sorensen Academy, to her.

Intrigued by this real-life soap opera, Claudia soon breaks one of the cardinal rules of business: Never get personally involved. But Claudia has grown attached to a troubled Sorenson student, and when disaster strikes, she'll realize that reading between the lines can man the difference between life and death.
