Josie the mystery shopper has a new assignment at a luxury lingerie shop. One of the employees is getting a reputation for poor customer service. But when Josie and her friend leave the lingerie shop, they find a dead body.

Josie is a single mother, supporting her daughter by mystery shopping. She lives in the downstairs apartment at her mother's house, and she's dating the handsome mobile veterinarian. She also has a habit of stumbling into murder. This time, the accused murderer is an important piece of Josie's past.

The accused, Mrs. Hayes, was once Josie's teacher, and she was kind to Josie. The murdered woman, Frankie, was not kind to Josie. She was an old classmate of Josie's, and she was a mean, hateful person who delighted in hurting people. Even after high school, Frankie was not a nice person. No one is going to miss her. So who killed her? There are a number of suspects, but which one did the deed? The answer was one I did not expect.

Once I picked up this book, I could not put it down. The characters are well drawn, and the story moves at a nice pace.

It is the best in the series, and I am looking forward to the next one.
