M.J. and crew are headed to Ireland to do some ghost busting, and maybe some treasure hunting. They are going to Dunlow Castle. But there is the little matter of the phantom.
It's not easy to get to Dunlow Castle. It can only be accessed by a causeway that is underway except at low tide. When M.J. and crew arrive in town, it's late. But Gopher, M.J.'s producer, wants to get a look at Dunlow Castle anyway. They have time, if they hurry, to get across to the castle and look around before the tide covers the causeway. They make it to the island, and the phantom strikes.
Heath, the other sensitive on the team, is nearly pushed off the cliff by the phantom, as is M.J. Once they recover from their near death experiences, they want to round up the rest of the crew and leave. But one of their crew, Gopher, is missing. Over the next several days, M.J. and crew look for Gopher, and as they do, they unravel the mystery of the castle and the phantom.
This is a good book. It's fun to read, and the answer to the mystery is carefully hidden until the end. I loved the setting, and it is beautifully portrayed in this book. This is, in fact, a perfect book for a winter day – just snuggle up with a soft blanket in front of the fire, nice hot cup of chocolate, and enjoy.
