After Abby sneaks out of the house to avoid her sister Cat, who is turning into the wedding planner of a nightmare, a mysterious client approaches Abby about a young mother who has disappeared. Between wedding jitters/planning, and decisions on the new house, Abby is ready for a relatively simple task. Turns out, finding the missing woman is not so simple.
Abby and Candice (Abby's business partner and BFF) start investigating. First they meet with the parents of the missing woman. The meeting does not go well. Ultimately, the missing woman's husband, the prime suspect in her disappearance, accepts their help.
This is a good book, with fun side trips into home building, wedding planning, and family dynamics. It's easy to read, and all the familiar characters make an appearance. The mystery of the missing woman stayed a mystery until the very end. There were some clues, but they were subtle, and the reader had to be paying very close attention to catch them.
By the by, the little side note about scorpions was interesting, but I really didn't want to know that. That said, I hope she includes more side notes about local flora and fauna. Creepy as the scorpion thing was, it stuck with me.
