Charlotte Bessette, owner of Fromagerie Bessette, is a busy lady. She needs to set a date with her fiancé, feed the actors in her grandmother's production of Hamlet, and plan the menu for her best friend and cousin's upcoming wedding. At least her new creation, Brie blueberry ice cream, has turned out perfectly. But not everything is turning out perfectly.

Did things start going wrong with the small cooking fire? Or maybe they started going wrong with the dead stranger who turned up in the Igloo Ice Cream Parlor's freezer, his head bashed with a container of Charlotte’s Brie blueberry ice cream. But there's more to the stranger. He's connected to a friend of Charlotte's and if Charlotte can't solve the mystery of his murder, Charlotte's life may not turn out so happy after all.

The book is light reading, but entertaining and informative. I enjoy the education in all things cheese, as well as the recipes at the back. The mystery is well done, and the solution was a surprise. The characters are enjoyable, if sometimes a bit over the top -- but that little bit of over the top makes the book that much more enjoyable to read. The book deserves a spot on your T0-Be-Read list.
